There’s great new footage available of Billy performing “The Stroke” with New Orleans’ brass band The Stooges From the Voodoo Festival on November 2.
Fight fans may recognize a familiar tune. Lonely Is The Night appears at 18:38 of the UFC Primetime: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos 3—Episode 3. Billy thinks it’s a great use of the song as you’d almost think it was written for the show. The editing of song to image is spot on.

Eminem’s “Berzerk” was released yesterday. The music bed is based around Billy’s original recording of “The Stroke.” Drums, guitar riffs and vocals appear throughout the track, which is already #1 at iTunes. You can preview the audio through iTunes, but be forewarned, there is some explicit language.
Billy will be taking his solo electric set on the road for two more dates this year. First up, Billy will be headlining the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Fund Raiser Sunday, October 6, at Mechanic’s Hall in Worcester, MA. Billy’s solo electric set is coming up this Friday, the 19th at the Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue, NY. This is the only show he’s announced for the summer, so try to catch it if you can. Billy’s performance will be at 8:10.
Billy sat in with Joe Bonamassa at the Beacon Theater, NY on the 18th. You won’t see or hear this very often. Billy and Joe are playing nearly identical ’59 Les Pauls—the holy grail for guitar geeks. Great band, great show…at a great venue: New York’s Beacon Theatre, May 18th, 2013.
