Legendary blues harmonica player JAMES COTTON has asked Billy to sit in with him at his Blues Summit concert at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater on June 24th. The two recently met at the May 21-22 Boston Legends shows put together by James Montgomery, and got on so well that Cotton rang Billy a few days later to invite him to the New York event. Other guests include Taj Mahal and Pine Top Perkins, along with reigning blues diva, Shemekia Copeland. Billy says he is “truly honored to be able to play in the company of such extraordinary talents and get down to what I enjoy the most…playing guitar…” about Cotton,”Aside from his pedigree and talent, the man’s simply a lot of fun to play with.” Don’t miss this show if you’re in the NYC area!
