A fond farewell to my old mate, Frank Levi. Frank was a mad genius of the electronics variety, who specialized in tinkering with guitar amps. We spent many a late night in the SIR/NY workshop, after I wrapped rehearsals with my band, Piper. We talked about how I wanted to expand on the already massive sound produced by Jim Marshall’s creations, then proceeded to pull apart the various heads I had in my possession and try to put them back together with a little bit more of everything. We did some truly great stuff sonically …and had a lot of fun getting there. To this day, I’ve never heard anything better.

Thanks, pal, you will be missed. But your sounds will live forever.
